Rochester Public School Foundation Contributes over $41,000.00 to the Rochester Public Schools For Immediate Release - January 15, 2013 - Rochester, MN - The Rochester Public School Foundation will present two checks totaling $41,635.82 to the Rochester Public Schools at the School Board meeting on January 12, 2013. The Rochester Public School Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual Haunted Hallways event once again exceeded all financial and attendance goals!  With approximately 7000 attendees, the event raised over $38,000 (a 20% increase from the total dollars raised last year).  Each participating school group received $1000 for immediate use totaling $21,000. We are also pleased to announce that Haunted Hallways will return in 2013!  We'll be back again next year in partnership with the Rochester Downtown Alliance and Kahler Grand Hotel!   In addition, $18,200 will be granted to support key education needs through the Foundation's Annual Grant cycle. This year, the Foundation received a record number of grant proposals during the annual fall grant cycle. Eight proposals were selected to receive funding in 2013 to enhance educational excellence in the Rochester Public Schools.
